After years of working in the accounting industry, my passion for the field started to dwindle, which is not uncommon in the typical overworked/understaffed accounting world. As a new mom, it became even more important to me to have true work-life balance while also finding a way to reignite the passion I have for helping people manage their finances. I knew I needed to find a way to serve my clients with the exceptional quality and care they deserve while also having the ability to enjoy a balanced and fulfilled life with my family. After much thought and consideration on how to make this happen, I finally concluded that the only way I would be able to do this was to create it from the ground up, and that is how Olivia Clark, CPA PLLC was created!

I received both my undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Concentration in Accounting) and my master’s degree (Master of Science in Accounting, Concentration in Taxation) from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I have many years of experience expanding from public accounting to fractional controllership, including tax preparation and planning, cash budget and cash management, budgeting and forecasting, various inventory platforms, and much more. I have served clients of various types and sizes across numerous industries. I am thrilled to offer a variety of services tailored to each client’s specific needs.

My mission is to combine my expertise in accounting and my heart for serving others in a way that redefines the accounting industry and empowers my clients to level up their business, while also destressing their everyday life.

Outside of the accounting world, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, shopping, and enjoying the outdoors—especially when that involves a body of water and/or a boat! When not working, you are most likely to find me outdoors with my husband (Blake), our son (Bud), and our pups (Millie, Maggie, and Muck).
Meet Lauren
Lauren Richardson, Accountant
Accounting and entrepreneurship has always been a passion on my heart from birth. I have been blessed to grow up in a family of preachers, farmers and small business owners. My journey began as young as eight years old with customer service, running cash registers and stocking inventory daily. Growing up in a family that owned retail stores, quickly developed a passion in me to help business owners of all sizes grow to love and manage their finances in an enjoyable but professional way.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Meredith College in beautiful Raleigh, North Carolina. After graduation I truly fell in love with accounting in the real world. With over 15 years of governmental and enterprise accounting experience I have landed where my heart has been longing to settle. Serving others while equally balancing family and mom life.
Meeting Olivia many years ago as a young business woman and watching her create and develop Olivia Clark CPA, PLLC has been an honor. Her heart to empower owners/CEOs to take control of their business and succeed strongly in this changing world, is incredible to watch and learn from daily.
When I am not crunching accounting spreadsheets, you can find me enjoying the salty ocean sand and waves. My heart is truly full spending time at ball fields, pools and church with my husband (Drake) and our three crazy children Lawson, John Hudson and Maggie.
